The Future IS Art

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

Since the mid-20th century Science Fiction quickly turned to Science Fact. From trekkie tri-corders morphing into smart phones within a mere 30 years to the holodeck becoming more and more possible thanks to VR and other technology, it seems we're constantly bringing the future into the present. What remains constant is the development of concazepts through art, and for those (for now) we need artists and creative visionaries.

When looking at how technology is changing, with devices becoming more portable and more of humanity connected, so too is the ability to create art.

Since the mid-20th century Science Fiction quickly turned to Science Fact. From trekkie tricorders morphing into smart phones within a mere 30 years to the holodeck becoming more and more possible thanks to VR and other technology, it seems we're constantly bringing the future into the present. What remains constant is the development of concepts through art, and for those (for now) we need artists and creative visionaries.

Artists impact us through the creation of environments and textures in films and gaming experiences, to designing the products we use and the homes we build. Before something is realized it must be conceptualized. Artists like AERO Art Ambassador Anthony Jones use their imagination and skills to help bring new worlds, creatures and experiences to life. Whether rendering monstrosities to give us chills or fantastical worlds to inspire budding engineers the future is art . Yet, to render these worlds artists are turning to software which requires vast amounts of power to render into life like reality. Whether the artist is designing for 3D printing or a virtual reality gaming experience, the software demands hardware equal to the task.

Today's artists can move from 2D software into 3D modeling software with the click of a mouse button and need quick response to ensure performance. From the imagination to the "pen" or "mouse" the artist will conceptualize the project first. Characters, costumers, transportation, communication devices, furniture and appliances all start with an artist's vision. With the advent of 3D printing, many artists can realize their work in hours instead of months or years.

GIGABYTE Notebooks designed the AERO series of laptops to give 21st century artists ultra-light, high-performance notebooks that are portable to meet the needs of on the go creators. As powerful as workstations, artists can grab their AERO series laptops and create on the go.
